M116 19th century 5" high x 16" wide18th century Italian Florence fragment mounted with an ammonite and adorned with quartz crystals. The fragment perfectly mirrors the texture and curves of the ammonite and have been paired to appear as if they evolved together over time. This fragment is from a church in Florence. It was found and saved from the historic flooding of the Arno River in 1966. There is still the original paint and silt left on the piece to uphold the integrity,
