Passenger Lounge doorway purpose-built in 1926The passenger lounge of MV Cape Don, furnished with original 1962 fittings, served families travelling to and from their assigned lighthouse postings and government officials on inspection runs. Three separate lounges aboard divided officers, seamen, and passengers. Cape Don operated for 27 years as a Commonwealth Lighthouse Service tender before retiring in 1990.
