Spring 1972 Oscar de la Renta Backless Rainbow Striped Halter Dress designer-guy-laroche bias cut silk chiffon -This is one of my favorite of the early Oscar designs. It is so bright and colorful that you can't help but smile in it. The cut is also extremely sexy yet it still has an innocent, girl next door feel to it. It is made from heavy linen that is striped with a rainbow of bright colors. These sit horizontally over the skirt and mimic the cut of the diamond shaped halter of the bodice. The halter top stays in place with little piped straps that
